School Program

Tropical FLurry has developed a comprehensive program to provide great tasting, frozen fruit juice to school children all across the nation. Based on the Federal school lunch program, USDA and the new 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, we have developed products that meet the requirements and still taste great.

School Breakfast & Lunch Program

Our fruit juice products qualify for reimbursement under the Federal School Lunch Program. We meet the criteria for one (1) serving with 6oz of our 100% juice product or 12oz of our 50% juice product. Since IAF is providing real fruit juice we are a natural fit in Schools.

New Food Pyramid

The USDA guidelines were revised in 2005, as they are every 5 years. While each State is responsible for how they interpret those guidelines, this year there are 23 recommendations. The new food pyramid and subsequent guidelines outline a much greater amount of fruit and vegetables than in prior years. In fact, the 2005 recommendations outline almost double the fruit and vegetables than suggested in prior years. How do you get kids to eat fruit? Make it fun!
